Job Summary:
Legacy Tower Technicians support all aspects of telecommunication installations including the construction and maintenance of telecommunications towers and structures. Daily objectives include ensuring that work is performed in accordance with all safety and quality guidelines and expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform work on the tower while ensuring that a safe, quality installation is performed, including rigging, hoisting, landing, fastening, load hopping, etc.

Job Summary:
Legacy’s Crew Lead is responsible for leading efforts in the construction and maintenance of communication tower sites. This role provides support to the Construction Manager and Project Manager in the supervision of all tower crew personnel, ensuring all OSHA requirements and company safety procedures are followed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead work on tower top, looking after all aspects of work while on the tower, ensuring that a safe and quality installation has been performed, including rigging, hoisting, landing, fastening, load-hopping, etc.

  • Maintain a detailed project list, tracking progress and key performance indicators associated with initiatives within the department including backlog, unsupported revenue, and underbillings
  • Assist in preparing for and finalizing the monthly construction work-in-progress file used to review the financial performance of the company as well as individual customers and project managers
  • Provide special project support to the VP/GM, executive team, and operations department that is specifically related to financial impact analysis
  • Assist the accounting department in resolving vendor purchase order discrepancies to ensure invoices are processed and paid in a timely manner
  • Monitor accounts receivable for assigned project managers to ensure invoices are approved and scheduled to be paid on time based on the customer’s terms

Journeyman Electrician

Job Summary:

The Electrical Journeyman is responsible for performing all electrical tasks with only limited general supervision. They can demonstrate experience beyond an electrical helper and are proficient with completing rough-in work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install feeders, wire and conduit
  • Install and terminate switchgear and other devices
  • Perform layout and preparation for installation
  • Perform underground layout and rough-in
  • Troubleshoot motors and controls
  • Possess skills to complete lower job title (apprentice) work
  • Fully comprehend Electrical theory and NFPA 70 National Electric Code
  • Wear personal protective equipment at all times
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:

  • Able to work in all elements, depending on job location, time of year (heat, cold, rain, snow)
  • Able to work from all types of ladders and perform work at various heights
  • Possesses sound eyesight to positively identify colors of wires
  • Able to bend conduit with hand or with mechanical benders
  • Able to operate trenchers, backhoe, and lift in a safe manner
  • Capable of digging trenches, either by use of hand tools or with power equipment
  • May be required to work long and unpredictable hours

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position with a typical work schedule of Monday – Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with overtime requirements.

Travel:
Extensive travel is required for this position. Usually between 10 to 40% of the time.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); related trade school education preferred
  • Current Journeyman (or have at least 8,000 verifiable hours as an Apprentice)

Senior Generator Field Technician, Legacy Power

Essential Functions:

  • Repair and Service all Makes and Models of Generator Sets
  • Inspect, Repair, Service and Start-Up Load Bank Test Requirements on Equipment
  • Trouble shoot problems on all equipment using test equipment, tools, service manuals and service bulletins.
  • Troubleshoot Equipment and Generator Components including Alternators, Wiring Harnesses, Safety Devices, and Battery Systems
  • Apply proper Engine Technical Skills in Inspection, Failure Analysis, Assembly, Diagnosis, and Operating Performance Tests
  • Identify the Problem and Cause of Failure through Logical Troubleshooting Steps, Determine Corrective Action through Inspection
  • Repair and Troubleshoot Engines such as Cummins, Detroit Diesel, John Deere, MTU and Volvo

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old, have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment Drug Screen and random Drug Testing
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and carry out instructions
