As we enter into the busy season, Legacy took time during May to honor the OSHA stand down and meet with our staff regarding the safety practices we employ. This stand down is a voluntary exercise to engage staff regarding the primary importance of being tied off 100% of the time. During both the in person meeting and video conference, we discussed the importance of fall protection, 100% tie off commitments and general safety on every job site. Legacy salutes the efforts of the Wireless Industry Task Force and has collected commitment signatures from all employees who work at elevation.
Legacy Telecommunications, Inc. and our related business units operate as a vertically integrated group of companies that serve a wide and diverse customer base. We are equally reliant upon the people of Legacy, our customers and carefully selected vendors to safely and efficiently apply broad scope solutions to the industries we serve.

OSHA Stand Down
What is DAS?
DAS, or distributed antenna systems is a term coined to differentiate smaller cell solutions from larger or macro cell sites. These have been renamed, or rebranded as small cells then as HetNets, or heterogeneous networks. While the names are pretty impressive, the end game is still creating a solution to your RF problem. We create RF Solutions that meet all the definitions and have been doing it for years in really cool places. Our staff has been treated to solve RF problems in some of the most recognizable places including:
- Safeco Field
- CenturyLink Field
- UW Campus
- WSU Campus
- Carrier office complexes and retail stores
- Health Care Campuses
- Public and private convention areas
Our skill sets involve solving RF dilemmas rather than just building more powerful infrastructure. This provides economic choices for the client and aesthetic options for land or building owners. From micro cells in Magnolia to the roaring of the 12th Man at CenturyLink Field, our RF Solutions team is really your source for problem solving options.

Tracks on Commanders
To support a microwave project, our Remote Services installed tracks on the 2 person UTV’s that are usually reserved for summer and muddy access. These end up being very versatile machines during the times when weather can be sketchy above 7000 feet in elevation! As a side benefit it pleased the National Forest Service Rangers and we use their roads a great deal.
